I am in favour of promoting human dignity abroad and being clearly opposed to religious persecution. I just worry that this office of religious freedom will be more political trouble (right here at home) than it’s worth.

I am in favour of promoting human dignity abroad and being clearly opposed to religious persecution. I just worry that this office of religious freedom will be more political trouble (right here at home) than it’s worth.
When public funds go to promote “freedom” quite the opposite gets promoted. For instance, will this office make is illegal for Christians to evangelize Hindus on the basis that such would be considered to be persecution. Of course, to prohibit evangelism will be persecution of Christian practice. Hmm.
